COMMUNITY SEWING WORKROOM

An open sewing workroom specialising in keeping textiles out of landfill.

We employ exciting and imaginative ways of repairing and repurposing textiles, encouraging our clients to explore new skills.

We offer a fully-equipped sewing machine and pattern-cutting workroom, library of sewing books, large stocks of fabric and haberdashery and an experienced workroom technician for sewing support

This project has been funded by the North-East Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance and GP Primary Choice.  Funding is administered through Community 360.

SLOW STITCH EMBROIDERY

Focuses on the idea of The Slow Movement through textiles to enhance wellbeing and mindfulness.

We offer a large social space, equipped with a stock of plain weave fabrics, scrap fabric and different-weight threads in a wide variety of colours. We have good stock of different-size needles and embroidery frames that can be used on site.

The session is overseen by an experienced embroiderer who is there to support your needs.

This project has been funded by the North-East Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance and GP Primary Choice.  Funding is administered through Community 360.
